About Me
Kristin Mendelsohn Troy is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT#97621) and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (1-14-17696) practicing in Sherman Oaks, CA. She received her Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University and conducted post-graduate work at University Massachusetts Lowell in Behavior Intervention with Autism. She has extensive training in both Psychotherapy and Applied Behavior Analysis. Kristin specializes in working with families with members with Developmental Differences, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Trauma, Parenting Skills, Social Skills, Children with Behavior Challenges and Mindfulness.

She received specialized training at the Child and Family Guidance Center in North Hills, CA, where she worked primarily providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents who experienced trauma including domestic violence, neglect and sexual abuse. Kristin conducted therapy helping children and their caregivers with diagnoses including Anxiety, Depressions, ADHD, OCD, ODD, and more. She received training during a research study conducted through UCLA's Children's Friendship Program providing evidence based Parent Training and Social Skills training to families and children a variety of diagnoses and behavior challenges.
Kristin also has extensive experience working with parents with children with developmental differences providing Psychotherapy to parents and siblings, Parent Training and Applied Behavior Analysis.
